- When a button on the radio transmitter or on the help signal transmitting
unit is pressed, the help signal transmitting unit automatically makes
phone calls to up to three recipients pre-designated for each communication
channel and transmits user-definable help call messages through telephone
line.
- The user-definable message to be transmitted to one of the up to
three recipients designated for each communication channel can comprise
one of the three changeable help call messages (the messages pre-stored
at the factory are "Please help me", "Emergency occurred", and "Fire
occurred") and a user-recorded message which may contain the address,
name and telephone number of the user.
- The three help call messages pre-stored at the factory can be changed
arbitrarily within a limit that each message must be within 30 seconds.
- The user-recorded message may be any message within 70 seconds.

- The help signal transmitting unit can be activated by sensors and
switches which may be optionally connected to each of the three communication
channels.
- An additional flashing light or the like may be connected to the
unit to enhance the help calling function.
- The system may comprise a back-up battery to ensure for at least
six hours after occurrence of a power failure that the system can
conduct at least one emergency notification operation.
